Does the US even want to help itself? That fundamental issue needs to be sorted out first. China could more usefully help nations that genuinely seek to develop their own societies. Just saying.
Another great take on China. I would like to suggest a topic which you can discuss. It's a practice in China called 'stock lottery'. It's a socialist method at democratizing IPO, which is so unamerican where large financial institutions always get first dibs.
Thanks for the tip - as a person who isn't a stock market investor, I have no idea of this - I remember many many years ago, when Australia auctioned off its government phone carriers as one corporation, Telstra was born, it was sold off by stock lottery, I applied with $1000 but didn't get in, a few days later my $1000 would have doubled but interestingly, one of the very few major corporations in Australia that is not American controlled is Telstra - what a coincidence!!!
Lots of people disagree with it but they seem to think it's my opinion, it's not, I'm merely giving my opinion on why China isn't doing more - however, it is doing a lot more than any Western media will give it credit for, the Palestinians know and they are working hard with China for a resolution through legal and proper channels, sticking their "military noses" into the regino without the support of the UN, would be the worst thing they could do and would explode the conflict into a massive escalation
Hi Jerry, I agree that China joining militarily would be a bad idea. However, they could cease trading with Israel, which would hit them hard while being completely legit. Instead, trade figures have increased over the last year and they are one of Israel's largest trade partners. Any pain felt from such a withdrawal would be primarily on the Israeli side and would also send a very strong message. The UN is an exercise in futility given the veto power, so I don't see what they are waiting for. I don't know how anyone with any power wouldn't do the bare minimum to shut down the slaughter of innocents, choosing instead to increase sales? I have to admit, I find that pretty repulsive. It's not as if it's not being livestreamed, nobody can pretend they don't know what is going on.
They could but I've explained why they would not. It's not my preference but it's China's way of doing things - it is what it is, no one will change it.
The PRC China, with the exception of a three week incursion into neighbouring Vietnam, under the influence of a reopened relationship with the USA, has never interfered in the affairs of any soveriegn nation in its history. To change that now would be a breach of the trust that over 190 nations have with China. MAny foreigners still scream "what about Vietnam" which happened before most of them were born as an example of China's military or economic expansion.
We don't have to like it, but we need to respect it's China's decision, not ours. They are doing everything they legally can under the charter of the UN - a breach of that makes them no different to the USA - it's all scalable, once you start breaking your own and international standards, there no end to it.
I also don't like it but I do respect why they do it - China has never unilaterally sanctioned a country and, until the UN do so, China will follow the law.
The UN will never do anything because of the veto. I do respect their right to self determination but I categorically despise the choice to increase sales to a country that only exists because it was stolen from the original inhabitant, at a time when they are further murdering said natives. As for " once you start breaking international standards", if that's the rule, one might well ask how BRICS came about, after all, international standard practice is to use the dollar as currency. Yet BRICS now exists. I've got to say, it looks more like they only get involved in situations where they will benefit. Again, they have every right to make that their choice, but meh. It's hard to see the people who do have the power to act do nothing.
The USA (Trump) has recently declared cold war on ChYna (as enunnciated by TACO Don). Previous to that (within the last 6 months since Trump's inauguration), it was not uncommon for Trump, Hegseth, Marco Rubio, etc., to talk about going to ('hot') war with ChYna, as if it was going to so easy for the USA to go in and win the war against ChYna and then slap a few Chinese around for good measure and with relative impunity... just like the USA recently bombed Iran with ease and impunity. Well, since the Pakistan-India air force skirmish (with Pakistan showing the capability of Chinese built armaments), Trump and his minions have quietened down on the 'hot' war rhetorics and doubled down on the 'cold' war (economics + bullying with allies at its side + arming its allies within the Indo-Pacific arena). And... somebody is asking: Why isn't China helping the USA? Is that a serious question?
Talk is cheap, even Trump realises that, a hot war isn't on their cards until they have weakened Russia, and that isn't happening, destroyed Iran and that isn't happening - going to war with China would last less time than their attempted war with Iran and India's skirmish with Pakistan, both of which would have been much more protracted and far more successful if China had not assisted both parties.
Allowing the entire global economy to collapse to punish the US government is not a good option, as the last part of the script says, Sony Thang nailed the reasons - they are right there. Helping the Nation and helping the people isn't the same as helping the Trump Administration who I totally agree, are a bunch of ignorant, redneck war mongering thugs

No, not yet, but one day it will realise it needs help, so far, it's not self-aware enough

What I would like to know is why the PRC are doing nothing to stop the genocide in Palestine, any thoughts?
I made a script and video about this already: https://youtu.be/sYDcBAcHbjE
